How do I book an appointment?

Browse salons, select your desired service, choose a stylist, pick a date and time, and confirm your booking. You'll receive instant confirmation via email and SMS.

Do I need to pay upfront?

Most services require a 20% deposit at booking to secure your slot. The remaining balance is paid at the salon after your service. Some salons may require full payment upfront.

Can I cancel or reschedule?

Yes! Cancellation policies vary by salon, but most allow free cancellation up to 24 hours before your appointment. You can manage your bookings from your dashboard.

What if I'm running late?

Contact the salon directly as soon as possible. Their contact details are in your booking confirmation. Late arrivals may result in shortened service time or rescheduling.

How do reviews work?

After your appointment, you'll receive an email inviting you to leave a review. Only verified clients who've completed a booking can leave reviews, ensuring authenticity.

Is my payment information secure?

Yes. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never store your full card details.

For Salon Owners

How do I join RatedStylists?

Visit our For Salons page and click "Get Started Free" or email salons@ratedstylists.co.uk. Setup takes about 5 minutes.

Do you charge commission?

No! We charge a flat monthly subscription instead of taking a cut of your earnings. You keep 100% of what you earn. There is a 15% platform fee for payment processing and platform maintenance.

How do payouts work?

Funds from completed bookings are transferred to your bank account within 2-7 business days via Stripe Connect. You can track all transactions in your dashboard.

Can I manage staff schedules?

Yes! Add team members, set their working hours, assign services, and track their performance. Each staff member can have their own availability and pricing.

What if a client doesn't show up?

Mark the booking as a no-show in your dashboard. The deposit is non-refundable and automatically retained. Repeated no-shows may result in client account restrictions.

Can I customize my salon page?

Yes! Add photos, descriptions, services, pricing, and team member profiles. Your salon page reflects your brand and helps clients make informed decisions.
